Child Haven formally opened its new school in Kathmandu, Nepal on Wednesday, March 12th 2008. Thank you to everyone who donated money and time to Ad Astra in our successful bid to raise $150,000 to help build the school. We were doing it in memory of Sean Egan who died on the slopes of Mount Everest on Friday April 29th, 2005, while trying to be the oldest Canadian to stand on the summit of Mount Everest. Now there is a permanent memory to Sean in a place he loved.
